Our CSR approach

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a dimension in its own right at Le Vent à la Française.

Our CSR process is a real pillar for our brand

Through several levers, we have always been committed to working for social and environmental causes: the professional reintegration of people with disabilities, donations to associations in need, and the manufacture of ethical and eco-responsible products.

An ingrained social approach

From the outset, in 2017, we made the choice to commit ourselves to the professional development of people with disabilities. Thus, when the manufacturing stage of the ropes and parts is completed, ESAT Pierre Doussinet in Romagnat (Puy-de-Dôme) is in charge of assembling the bracelets and shipping them.

Since the spring of 2019, we have been involved with two associations that are close to our hearts. The first, the Société Nationale des Sauveteurs en Mer, was an innate choice given the marine world in which Le Vent à la Française products are made.

The second, the Ligue Handisport AURA, was part of our approach to support the disabled with ESAT Pierre Doussinet. Thus, when you order one or several article(s) on our site, you have the possibility to round up the total amount by making a donation to the association of your choice.

A step for the environment

In July 2019, we launched our first sweats and t-shirts collection. These clothes were assembled at ITHAC in Riorges (Loire), workshops that employ 87% disabled people.

Moreover, being aware of the negative impact of textile manufacturing on our planet, we made 8 t-shirts in organic cotton and 8 sweats made of 40% recycled old clothes.

A first eco-responsible collection

The symbol of our brand being the bracelet and its compass rose, it was obvious that we had to look into launching a new eco-friendly bracelet . In December 2019, we released our collection of 8 wooden bracelets, consisting of a piece of beech wood from eco-managed forests and a recycled polyester rope .

Recycled polyester is made from old objects: polyester clothes, plastic bottles or other plastic waste. There are three advantages to using recycled polyester: no use of oil, lower energy consumption and less waste.

This is only the beginning, we still have a lot of projects to come and we need you to make them happen.
